RAK College of Nursing (RAKCON) has academically continued its growth and developed in every aspect. This year has been a great achievement year as its graduate program Master of Science of Nursing (MSN) with four specialties - Adult health nursing, Psychiatric Mental Health Nursing Pediatric Nursing & Community Health Nursing.. Thus RAKCON has attained its recognition at National level, which can be seen through the achievements shown below:

1. On the 12th October 2014, as part of Mental Health Day, Emirates Nursing Association (ENA), Emirates Medical Association (EMA) and Sharjah Health Authority (SHA) had workshop on “Relationship between Mental Physical Health” at Sharjah Cultural Centre. Five RAKCON faculties participated in this event.

2. The RAKCON dean was invited for the INTERNATIONALNURSING CONFERENCE 2014 THEME: "Managing Turbulence in Nursing Research: Aligning with the Needs of the Profession" as guest speaker on 21st & 22nd November 2014 in Chennai, India, by Saveetha University.

3. 21st December 2014: RAKCON is proud to announce the receiving of full accreditation for MSN program for four specialties.

4. 17th December 2014: Faculty and staff celebrated seasonal get together

5. 25th January 2015: Dr. Kyung Sook Chooi from Red Cross College of Nursing, Chung-Ang University had visited RAKMHSU for collaboration.

6. 18th January 2014: Faculty Day Out in Jais Mountains
As celebration for MSN program’s achievement faculty and staff had a day out to Jais Mountains in RAK.

7. 26th January 2015: Faculty and students picnic to Desert Camp
RAKCON had student, faculty and staff picnic on 26th January at Bedouin Village near RAK.

8. 5th February 2015: Workshop on Concepts of Evidence based Practice Speaker organized by Umm-Ul-Quwain Medical District, UAQ

9. 5th February 2015: Ibrahim Nemr and Kamal Essam of RAKCON won the 3rd RAK Mini Marathon

10. 20th February 2015: Dr. Vijaya Kumardhas, Dean, RAKCON was invited as Chief-Guest to attend Pedia Care- A concise Journal towards child care organized by AKMG, Emirates RAK chapter, MOH, RAKMHSU.

11. 26th March 2015: 6th RAKMHSU Students Scientific Conference: First Prize for the BSN 4th Year students research papers.

12. 7th April 2015: Conversion program Welcome of the students of February 2015 batch by the University

13. 7th April 2015: WHO Day theme presented by RAKCON faculty.

14. 7th April 2015: Simulation training program: One day full faculty development program was organized on “Simulation handling on newly installed mannequins for faculty.

15. 8th April 2015: Dr. Jacquiline Bloomfield – Director of Pre-registration program and Pre-Nursing School, University of Sydney, Australia (for Collaboration between two Colleges)

16. 8th April 2015: Visit of Prof Ged from corporate medical division of SEHA, Abu Dhabi

17. 17. Candle lighting & Nurses Day Celebration at RAK Medical & Health Sciences University.

19th May 2015, Tuesday: Candle lighting & Nurses Day Celebration took place at RAK College of Nursing (RAKCON), RAK Medical & Health Sciences University, Ras Al Khaimah, UAE. The Chief Guest of the program was Sheikh Abdullah Bin Humaid Al Qasimi, Director of the office of H.H. Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah.

15 Emirati local nursing students and 11 international students lit their candle from the Dean and the senior faculty of RAKCON they also pledge the Florence Nightingale oath. Through a video show the RAKCON achievements were shown from last 8 years. The theme of the international nurses day “Nurses are Force to Change - Care Effective, Cost Effective”. The vision of the Dean - Dr Vijaya Kumardhas is to have one Emirati nurse in every Emirati family. This will take care of the theme of nurse day.

The college has 2 undergraduate and 1 Graduate program, specifically the Master’s program is the only the accredited program from Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, (MOHE&SR) UAE in the country.

Facilitation of the Vice-Chancellor Dr. S. G.M. Rao for his 10 year of services to RAKCON and also the Dean of RAKCON was awarded for her distinguished services for the development of first Master's program in nursing in the country.

18. Dean travelling to Seoul, South Korea for "Global International Nursing Conference" where I am a 'Guest Speaker' from 16th August 2015 to 20th August 2015.
